Club League

The Club holds an annual league allowing members to compete for the Club league trophies at the end of the season.

Each year we run an Open and a Novice League with sections for men and women:

To take part in the Leagues members must compete in at least three races of their own choice within the year. Scores are calculated in comparison with others racing in the same age group so everyone has a chance of winning.

Lichfield and Burntwood Tri Club

league rules

  • The Open Leagues are open to all members;
  • The Novice Leagues are open to members competing in their first or second year in triathlon. If in their second year, the must not have competed in more than two races in their first year.
  • All participants must be fully paid up members of Lichfield and Burntwood Triathlon Club;
  • Participants must compete as ‘Lichfield and Burntwood Triathlon Club’ and appear in the race results as such;
  • You can enter as many races as you like – your best 3 results will count. In the event of a tie your 4th race result will count;
  • Scores will be calculated by dividing your finishing time by the winning time in your age group. The lowest total score at the end of the year will win. Men and women will compete separately.

What to do next:

  • Enter some races!;
  • After the race send your race result and the time of the winner of your age group to the Club Secretary. (Link)

Club race

Each year we nominate one Olympic distance and one Sprint distance race as the Club races. The best scoring members (male and female) at these races will win a small prize. Scores will be calculated as for the League (see above). We try to get as many members as possible to these races and make them a bit more of a social occasion.

Olympic - Blithfield Triathlon - 16th August 2026. More info

Darren Hale Memorial Trophy – this trophy is awarded each year to the first member to cross the line at the Olympic Club race. The trophy is awarded in memory of Darren Hale, a former Club member.
